About Us
The Texas Global Business Network (TGBN) is a networking group of seasoned professionals who have experience in three areas: assisting international businesses in establishing offices in the US (particularly Texas), assisting such business in acquiring businesses in the US (thereby establishing an existing customer base), and assisting such businesses in operating in the US once established.
Each TGBN member brings to the table years of experience in working with international businesses, in such areas as legal, international tax, immigration, insurance, employee benefits, banking, real estate, and payroll and human resources.
TGBN has no clients! Our members meet with you, as a group, to help you identify your needs and develop and refine a strategy, budget and timeline for starting operations in the US – free of charge. Thereafter, you are free to engage any or all of our members on an individual basis, as and when you see fit.
Typically, the TGBN member(s) with whom you initially establish contact will assemble a team of TGBN members to meet with you, often over dinner. The participants at this initial meeting will generally include those TGBN members who have experience in the areas in which you have the most need, depending on how far you have already progressed toward opening an office or making an acquisition in the US.
For example, if you are in the investigative or fact-finding stage of the process, you might meet with TGBN members with international tax, legal, real estate, banking and immigration expertise, or if you are trying to first establish your management and sales team in the US, you might meet with TGBN members with employee benefits, insurance and payroll expertise.
The members of TGBN bring to the table years of experience in working with businesses all over the world, in numerous industries – oil & gas, manufacturing and distribution, health care, technology, shipping and logistics, and many more. Our members also have an established history of working together to solve problems. As a result, we have developed a knowledge base and synergies that allow us to work effectively and efficiently to help you achieve your goals.
In addition, we have developed established relationships with like-minded professionals all over the world, so we can also work quickly and effectively with your in-country team as well.
Finally, our members don’t just sit in our offices working with international clients – we regularly travel all over the world, meeting with clients and our international service provider counterparts to ensure that you get personal service.
No problem – TGBN’s members will work with those providers and fill in any gaps in expertise as needed.
Membership in TGBN is by invitation only. Once invited, there is no fee to join. TGBN is not a business- it is a business network. Our members do not receive anything of value from the businesses they serve except through individual engagement by those businesses, and members are not allowed to pay referral fees to each other. This helps to ensure that TGBN members have only the best interests of the businesses they serve in mind.
TGBN’s members are routinely engaged to help established businesses owned by international companies grow and prosper. Perhaps your US business has outgrown its current providers, or needs different or more sophisticated assistance? TGBN’s members work with businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to multinational conglomerates. But TGBN is not a “one size fits all” proposition – if your business falls outside of our members’ expertise for any reason, chances are that we’ll be able to help you identify the right providers for you.
